Taking Aviation studies to new heights

Skyline Aeronautical Engineering Training Academy commenced operations in Kandy, in September 2011. Located at 454/4C, Piachaud Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Kandy the main purpose for this venture was to cater to students from areas as far off as Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Matale, Gampola who show a growing interest in this field.

Further reason to locate this training facility in the hill capital is to support the government’s initiative to expand tourism's reach to cover scenic locations in the hill country, by providing qualified aviators and engineers when the proposed domestic airport in Kandy takes shape, and thereby injecting more vigour to inbound travel, that in turn could lead to a boost in eco tourism.

Domestic air transport in this context plays a vital role and SAETA's principal objective is to build a generation of professional aeronautical engineers with the required specialisations to support the growing need for personnel in this rapidly growing and emerging sphere, both locally and globally.
